A warm welcome to Clanfield Bowls & Sports Club's website!
Clanfield Bowls & Sports Club (CBSC) opened in Spring 2019 having been created in response to villagers’ desire for a leisure hub and meeting place in our village. It is where like-minded folk can meet up, make new friends and pass their time in a pleasant casual manner. The Club is a registered non-profit making Charity and a member only Club.

The facility has ample parking, a small café and bar and an all-weather playing surface which means it can remain open all year. People of all ages will always be most welcome and, in addition to the Bowls play (full details of which can be found on the Bowling Events page), the Club provides a full range of Leisure Events. (Please note - some events will have a nominal entrance fee to cover costs of catering, live music etc.)

If you have not bowled before help is at hand. All necessary equipment is available for you to use, and taster sessions can be arranged to enable you to try out the game before making any commitment to join. Just phone 07434 652166 to book these or for any other information.

The Club’s ethos is to provide a friendly relaxed atmosphere where you can simply enjoy some casual sport and good company in comfortable surroundings. The Club has not joined the Portsmouth & District leagues, but it does run a programme of friendly matches against other Hampshire and West Sussex Bowls Clubs throughout the summer months. Details of events can be found Bowling Events page and the Leisure Events page. The Club also produces a regular newsletter which is sent to all members (see the Latest Newsletter link in the Other Information frame on this page.)

In the 4 years since opening, the Club has won two awards from the Hampshire Association of Local Council's Village of The Year competition. This is an annual competition inviting submissions from every village in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and the bowls Club has won the Best Facility of the Year award in 2019 and this year the Best Health & Wellbeing Initiative award.

Finally, the Club nestles on the edge of the glorious South Downs National Park overlooked by the iconic Windmill on top of the hill. If you would like a visual idea of the look and location of the Club simply click on this Video link and enjoy.
