SAFEGUARDING |
We have recently adopted a Safeguarding policy and appointed Helen Glover as our Safeguarding Officer. There are six principles of safeguarding:
By adopting these six principles of safeguarding, Clanfield Bowls & Sports Club is showing it’s commitment to ensuring we do our best to protect vulnerable adults and children. The Safeguarding Officer role exists to protect an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect, and to prevent this from occurring within our Club. Clanfield Bowls & Sports Club has a duty of care to our members to safeguard them from harm and promote the well-being of everyone who uses our services and to help create a safer culture within our Club. Our policy and procedures have been developed to comply with that duty, relevant legislation and guidance, and to respond effectively if concerns arise. The Safeguarding Officer is the first point of contact for members if they have any safeguarding concerns regarding poor practice and potential or alleged abuse within our Club. The procedure for reporting a concern is detailed in the flowchart link below. |
